Rainstorm kills CPC legal adviser

By Wole Mosadomi, Minna

A heavy downpour in Minna Niger State on Thursday evening wrecked havoc claiming the life of ?a lawyer, injured a woman and two children of the same parent and also left several properties including vehicles ?damaged.

Some houses were also submerged in different parts of Minna, the State Capital during the rain which lated for less than one hour.

The rain which was accompanied with heavy wind also uprooted trees planted along major roads especially those along Government Reserved Areas (GRA) thereby causing traffic logjam along the roads affected.

Our correspondent reliably gathered that the casualty, one Barrister Joseph Kolo of the Albarika Chambers based in Minna the State Capital was smashed in his car when a tree uprooted by the rainstorm fell on his car along the road while trying to drive into an Estate just opposite his chamber along Bosso road.

It was reliably gathered that late Joseph Kolo who was until his death the Legal Adviser to Congress for Progressives Change, (CPC) in the State was crushed right in his car while waiting outside the gate of the Estate where he went to transact business for the rain to subside.

The lifeless body of the Lawyer was seen trapped in his car shortly after the heavy rain by passers by who immediately raised an alarm but help was too late as Kolo had already given up the ghost.
